Together with the (re) opening of The James Ensor House and the experience center, there is a new interactive walk through the city. Thanks to an app, you will be able to accompany Ensor on a walk through his home city. Along the way, he not only talks about himself, but also about Ostend's rich history.
The 3km tour starts at the James Ensorhouse and takes you past 13 places. Unique audio and visual material was created for each location.
You pay a one time fee of 5.49 euros to unlock the full walk. When you visit tje James Ensorhouse, you get the walk for free. For families with children, there is a family quest along the same trail.
Since last year, you can discover four new works in Ostend: DFace, Elisa Capdevila, ERES en Case Maclaim let their creativity loose on our city. During the autumn holidays of 2021, Helen Bur came by and placed a beautiful portrait of rock singer Arno on the town hall. And Zenith, better known as Matthias Schoenaerts, once again left his mark on Ostend as a street art city with a gigantic work of king Leopold II. The Crystal Ship is more than worth discovering!

Oosteroever is the place to relax, to get a breath of fresh air and to find some peace. The outer harbour area is also a fascinating part of the city and has a lot to offer to tourists. The are is free of traffic very suitable for a nature walk. The free ferry boat makes it even more fun for children.
Kursaal Oostende is a mythical place. As early as the nineteenth century, people came to this place to relax.
The present building dates from just after the Second World War. From 2003 to 2005 the building underwent a major renovation. Nowadays Kursaal Oostende is a magnificent concert hall with more than 2000 seats, where performances for young and old are scheduled throughout the year.
